Onwards and Upwards…

This is a shamelessly self promoting blog 🙂

All of my adult life I have had a passion for natural therapies and helping people get healthy in  a safe, natural way using things found in nature.

After years spent in the finance/banking/lending sector and keeping myself informed and educated about natural health in my spare time, with the birth of my twins I finally saw an opportunity to make my life-long passion become reality.

I enrolled in a Diploma of Advanced Naturopathy through a correspondence college so that I could do it in my own time and online.

About four weeks ago I found out that the college I was enrolled with has decided to “shut up shop” overnight and completely disappear off the face of the earth. This has left myself and other students without qualifications and thousands of dollars out of pocket.

Because I am not in a situation to start all over again (I will be, just not at present time), I have decided I can still follow my dream, just in a different way.

I have created www.anaphylactic.com.au ; the main purpose of this website is to inform the consumer (that means YOU) about all of the potentially harmful ingredients found in products and food that are out there so that YOU can make informed choices.

How it will work is that each week I will highlight one ingredient which may be potentially harmful. This ingredient can be either found in food or products.

I will also provide a list of products containing this ingredient and also provide a list of safe foods/products with links to their websites and information.

Please check it out and let me know what you think! Any feedback and/or suggestions are greatly appreciated 🙂

(oh, and of course, I will still be writing this blog and will try to make this my first and last self promoting post, lol)

I’m really glad you’re getting into this. It’s easy to say the information is all there (and it is) but it’s a lot easier for people to receive bite-sized, targetted information about what to look out for, and what some viable alternatives are.

Personally I’ve always liked the idea that “if it’s safe to eat, it’s safe to put on your skin” but there’s so much rubbish in foods these days even that’s not safe…

You go, girl, I’m looking forward to your stuff!

What scares me most is the future generations and all the stuff they might get exposed to under the “it’s safe” premise. We need to know NOW so that we can teach THEM. And us of course 🙂

Ain’t nothin wrong with a bit of self promotion Ana! You have a great story to share and if you don’t tell people about it we won’t know! I’m so looking forward to find out more of the detail behind ingredients to avoid. I was only talking today about how the hell bread now has 30 ingredients in it! xx

Thanks, Rachelle, that means so much:-) x and you are right, we need to know exactly what we are consuming rather than just trusting the ads.
