Because You’re Worth It!

No, this is not a L’Oreal advertisement, lol!

And as much as I have issues with advertising and these kinds of brands, I have to say that this message is powerful.

So many people wish for more money, for health, for happy relationships, for recognition, you name it. They ask for it, pray for it and when it finally happens, they go “oh, I’m not sure I should take this, it doesn’t feel like I deserve it”. You see, they ask yet they are not ready to receive.

Before you ask for something, no matter how improbable getting it may seem at the time, you have to make sure that you are open to receive it.

Can you imagine what a kick in the gut it must be to God or universe or whatever you believe in, to have someone going please, please, please for like ages and ages; and then god/universe goes: here you go just please stop asking! Only for the person to turn around and say, yeah, na maybe I’m just not worthy, take it back.

Like when you get given an award. And there is like all these people that chose you to give the award to. They have all these great people to choose from and they think you are the very best out of all of them so they give it to you. And then you go, oh I don’t think I deserve that! What you are saying here to those people who chose you is, your opinion does not matter, you do not know what you are doing, let me think of ways I can insult you more.

Moral of the story is: if you are given something, you take it! And you say “thank you very much”. And let me clarify here that this applies to the good and the bad. Why? There is a reason we are given things. Because we deserve them. Even when something is just so awful that you think bad karma is out to get you, in the end you will find there was a reason. A reason for the good. Whether it be an opportunity to learn and grow or to find your way. God/universe do work in mysterious ways; trust, have a wee bit of faith that everything will work out. It always does.

Back to my point. We are all blessed with the gift of life. So at the very start, you chose to take that gift and say “thank you very much”. So don’t waste it. Not one person is more or less worthy than another. You are only less worthy if you tell yourself that you are. Recognise that you are here to live your life the best way you know how; that gifts are given to you because they were MEANT for you. You will NEVER receive someone else’s gift by mistake, it just doesn’t happen that way. If something comes your way, it is because it was meant to come your way, just TAKE it! And say “thank you very much”.

If you don’t feel that you deserve a particular gift, then don’t ask for it in the first place!!! When you are ready to receive it, then ask for it. Because you WILL get it! Make no mistake about that.

There are a lot of reasons why we may feel unworthy, whether it was upbringing, toxic relationships, whatever. What you need to realise is that it is a choice. A choice only YOU can make. You can choose to allow those people/circumstances to make you feel worthless OR you can make the choice to get up in the morning and say to yourself:  “I am worth it! I rock! BRING IT OOOOOON!!!!!!”

So beautifully put Ana… I have – in the past – been struck by awful self-doubt when something I’ve been working towards actually manifests! It is only fear, and I recently realised that it is a pattern, one that I am starting to break. Your piece will stick in my mind and reinforce my resolve! xx

A beautiful reminder – there is no ‘good’ or ‘bad’, that’s just a meaning we attribute to something. There are just things, events etc & they all have different meanings for different people. xxx

Thank you for that gift Ana. I needed to read that today. I had not thought about it that way, I think as children it used to be drummed into girls to not feel worthy. My Mother always said things like “give the men the best cuts of meat” and “don’t blow your own trumpet” etc. Well I am getting a great big trumpet and I am going to blow it all day long.
